Sizes & Shapes Available
Custom coins can be minted in a variety of sizes determined by the die sizes available and the shape selected. The sizes and shapes displayed here are of medallions or commemorative coins that have previously been produced. New sizes are under consideration, so if a shape in which you are interested is not shown, please inquire about the size at Northwest Territorial Mint.
| Round is the most preferred shape, available in a wide variety of sizes, from about dime size up to 3 1/2 inches. Any round shape can be augmented by a tab with a hole for use on a key chain or as a pendant. |

| Bars are rectangular in shape with rounded edges, and is frequently the form used for bullion metals. |

| The oval, measures 2 3/8 by 1 3/16 inches. |

| The trapezoid measures 1 3/16 inches across the top, 2 inches along the base, with a height of 1 1/2 inches. |

| The dogtag shape measures 1 1/4 inches along the narrow aspect and 2 1/4 inches along the long axis. This shape is more frequently used in a vertical orientation with the hole on top. |

| One crest shape that is available is shown at right. It measures 1 5/8 inches across the narrow axis, 1 3/4 inches along the long side, with the center axis measuring 2 1/4 inches. |

| Another crest shape is more rounded but with similar dimensions as the crest above. |

| This large medallion shape measures 2 inches along the narrow axis, 2 1/8 inches along the long side, and 3 5/16 inches along the middle axis. |
